Broken etched smiles I lost,
The secret smile I gave to you.
No smile thereafter, I could muster.
The broken smile no longer. No More. Lost.
Now, an effortless smile of expression inwardly fills me
With Joy and Glee.
So I outwardly express this now:
With no price to pay for I am free.
Yet this smile,
Masks, hides and covers over what wants to seap out.
For I smiled before, during, then and now.
Which attests to my strength within.
But my smile now bellows on my face
Because it brings all into the light
To caste their shadows out into the light
And I walk on now as the shadows fall to their knees behind me.
