BRONLLYS CASTLE by Tim Davies #starfishclub #BraveWrites #Coffeeandachat @coffeeandachat1 #poem #poetry

THERE, IN THE FRESH-FACED WEANING OF OUR NASCENT DREAMS, AS WE WALKED TOGETHER, SILENT, UNDER PANTING TREES BENEATH THE SUN-BLESSED, DAPPLED-GREEN EXTACIES OF YOUTH AND SAT BESIDE THE RIVER, POURING OUT OUR HEARTS IN BABBLING METER TO THE CHUCKLING SPRITES OF WATER
THERE WE SAT AND SIPPED AT LIFE’S FULL PAPER CUPS OF HAPPINESS IN BLISSFUL TRUST AND IGNORANCE
AND IS THE PATH STILL WINDING THERE? AND IS THERE ACCESS STILL?
THE WEANING DREAMS HAVE FED FULL NOW ON LIFE’S RICH FARE, YET STARVE
BUT DOES AN OLDER SUN STILL SHINE WHERE GREEN LEAVES KISS AND SIGH?
AND DOES THE DRAUGHT WITHIN THE CUPS STILL EFFERVESCE WITH PROMISE FOR SOME OTHERS’ TENDER DAYS?
